Hi Gurus please advice,
My 140 was approved in 2007 ,but today i got email from USCIS ,
Application Type: I140, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR ALIEN WORKER
Current Status: Case Transfered to Another Office for Processing
On May 12, 2009, we transferred this case I140 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR ALIEN WORKER to our LINCOLN, NE location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow the instructions provided on the notice. We will notify you by mail when a decision is made. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 to update your address. You can use our processing dates to estimate when your case may be processed by following the link below. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case by registering in the link below.
Any idea, what would be the possible reason for this? Please advice.
BTW I recently applied for EAD extension.

After the renewal, I got a passport with a new passport number (the old passport is still there stapled with the new one).
My labor and H1B all have the old #. Is there a need to do anything with the new passport number wrt to my existing H1 and labor and such?

i invoked ac21 twice..never asked even a single question to the employers, infact my current job title is not even close to the job title that my labor was filed long time ago, i am very confident, i will change my mind and go back to india for good, before my PD of jan 2003-India becomes current. just cant ruin my career and life thinking about things that are not in our control..just my opinion, not an advice. if u get struck with a sick job for years due to the GC mess, it justifies itself for all these decisions. even if they issue an RFE and my GC gets denied, i care a less about it, cos it lost its importance when it took this long..atleast i am doing some work right now which will help my career on a long term basis.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
As a EB2-India hopeful I was Current in Aug/Sept 2008, and had a 99.9% of hope of getting approval. However, they did nothing then though many with a lot lower (later) PD's and RD's were approved.
Now suddenly, I got several sets of emails with "Card production ordered", "Approval notice sent" and "Wecome as a New permanent resident" messages (some more than one with same message).
So, may be USCIS is not following any PD dates announced in Visa Bulletins, but this time for good. Ironically, I also got emails on my AP approval, which is dated a day later than GC approval. Sequence of LUDs is - AP received 11/11 with a soft LUD on 12/10, I-485 approval on 12/11, AP approval on 12/12. Got another set of emails today with similar contents as in emails dated 12/11.
Perhaps a lot is going on to clear old cases. Have hopes, and do something so that your file comes to someone's attention. ....Best to all....

Nik,
I had to live with a 70-300 Sigma that was f/3.5-5.6 for a long time. While I made do for sports and motorsports type stuff, my world opened up when I upgraded to a fixed f/2.8 zoom. Hold off a bit, if needed, and get a faster lens. You'll be much happier.
If you're mostly going to be doing landscapes and whatnot, the slower lens will work just fine.
